Serein Properties is honoured to partner with The School for the Contemporary Arts (SCA) at Simon Fraser University (SFU), marking the beginning of a collaboration venture dedicated to the arts. Together, we are proud to introduce the Serein Properties Visual Arts Award, designed to shine a light on and support emerging visual artists.
At our core, Serein Properties is driven by an artist-led approach to design, aiming to effortlessly intertwine art with architectural innovation. Our philanthropic endeavours are grounded in the belief that art has the transformative power to turn spaces into experiences. The SCA, recognized for its role in cultivating future leaders in art and design, is an essential partner in nurturing the next generation of visionaries.
The Serein Properties Visual Arts Award represents a significant step toward realizing our shared vision. This annual award will recognize and financially support SCA undergraduate students exhibiting remarkable sculpture and installation art skills, aiding them in their creative ventures. We are committed to funding this award for the next five years as a testament to our dedication to the artistic community.
Our partnership with the SCA underscores our belief in the importance of art as both a societal pillar and a medium for personal expression. By establishing the new award, we aim to contribute meaningfully to the artistic landscape and support the sculptors of tomorrow.
“We are proud to establish the Serein Properties Visual Arts Award to give back to a community that aligns with our origins, founded by an SCA alumnus,” shares Serein Properties. “It’s an honour to nurture the dreams of gifted artists and contribute to enhancing Vancouver’s art landscape.”
